Implementation of the GX ActiveSafety system at Plzeňský Prazdroj

Plzeňský Prazdroj is a traditional beer producer with more than 180 years of history and one of the most important exporters of Czech beer abroad. In addition to product quality, it emphasizes modern operational management, efficiency and safety. Every year, it handles tens of thousands of trucks in the area, which places high demands on the organization of loading and unloading.

Challenge

Within the operations at Plzeňský Prazdroj, risky situations during loading and unloading of goods have been dealt with for a long time:

• The truck drivers were in the danger zone while handling a forklift.
• There was confusion about when the driver could safely leave the cab.
• There was no clear system of communication between the truck driver and the handling equipment operator.
• This situation increased the risk of collision, injury and operational errors.

Solution

Plzeňský Prazdroj has decided to implement the GX ActiveSafety solution from GX Solutions, which specializes in intelligent systems for motion control and safety in operations with a high logistics load. Smart pedestrian crossings

• Safety traffic lights at ramps and loading points.
• Logical control of the loading/unloading process – the system ensures that the driver is only allowed to leave the cab at a safe moment.
• Increase operators’ overview of the current status of the process (loading in progress/finished/denied entry).
